Anti-Corruption

The Anti-Corruption Unit at OMSAR serves as the operational and coordination backbone of Lebanon’s anti-corruption framework. It supports the MACcom, TACcom, and all Task Teams in their specialized work and leads the day-to-day coordination, implementation, monitoring, and updating of the NACS.

Functions :

The Anti-Corruption Unit ensures that national anti-corruption policies are translated into coordinated institutional action. It:

  • Supports MACcom in monitoring strategy development, implementation, and reporting
  • Supports TACcom in technical coordination, national reporting, and international compliance processes
  • Coordinates implementation of the NACS across public institutions
  • Manages progress reporting, evaluation, and strategic review processes
  • Supports the preparation of updated and future national anti-corruption strategies
  • Coordinates Task Teams and thematic working groups
  • Facilitates stakeholder coordination with public institutions, civil society, academia, private sector actors, and development partners
