The Lebanon Digital Acceleration Project aims to strengthen the country’s digital foundations and enablers and improve the delivery of high-impact public services. The project focuses on supporting the establishment of secure, scalable, and resilient data hosting capabilities, enhancing cybersecurity, supporting in developing digital enablers including the enabling environment, capacity building and digital upskilling, and the establishment of digital public infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and fostering the digitalization of priority government services.
The Lebanon Digital Acceleration Project is supported by an expected $150 million loan to finance priority projects in digital transformation, and a $1.5 million Grant for Project Preparation (GFPP) to finance priority preparatory activities for the project. Implementation arrangements include the establishment of a Technical Unit for the grant and a Project Implementation Unit for the loan, that encompasses key functions, including project coordination, procurement, financial management, environmental and social risks management and key technical functions.
